A common network that enables the city's energy independence and energy from renewable sources
The project is based on a system of small/medium power plants - electric, thermal, and cooling - near the end-consumption point and interconnected by an "active" and "intelligent" electrical grid, called a smart grid, capable of managing and regulating many electric currents traveling in interrupt and bidirectional The system will allow various users (private and business) to receive energy from the grid in a flexible way, and the estimated efficiency of electricity transmission and distribution will increase between 40% and 70%.
The new paradigm encourages
opening of the energy market
Shared grid - Zaprešić
This new paradigm encourages the opening of the energy market by identifying new entities (households and businesses) as producers and consumers and provides them with the opportunity to manage energy.
Project's primary features
-
electricity produced from renewable sources such as biomass and a solar photovoltaic system

-
households become producers of electricity through photovoltaic systems of the solar grid, and when there is not enough light, the grid provides electricity from other sources
-
a stable source of electricity for households, production plants, and commercial activities for the town of Zaprešić would be ensured through the construction of a biomass processing plant

-
in this way, the town of Zaprešić becomes energy independent, the production of energy from renewable energy sources increases, and at the same time, the environment is protected and restored
